Oregon Bar Exam Format
The Oregon Bar Exam is a two-day exam. Day 1 consists of one 90-minute Multistate Performance Test (MPT) question, three 30-minute Multistate Essay Exam (MEE) questions, and six Oregon essay questions. Day 2 is the Multistate Bar Exam (MBE), a 200-question, multiple-choice exam.

Administrative Law (State & Federal), Agency, Civil Procedure (State & Federal), Corporations, Evidence (State & Federal), Federal Income Taxation, Oregon Legal Ethics, Partnerships, Sales, Secured Transactions, Trusts, Wills, Contracts, Criminal Law and Procedure, Constitutional Law, Evidence, Real Property, and Torts.
MPRE
A scaled score of 85 on the MPRE is required for admission.
Oregon Bar Exam Scoring and Results
The MBE is weighted 37.5%, the essays are weighted 37.5%, and the MPT is weighted 12.5%. The scores are combined to determine if a passing score was achieved. A minimum scaled MBE score of 142 must be achieved. Results are released in early April for the February exam and in early September for the July exam.

Oregon Bar Exam Reciprocity
In order to be eligible for admission without taking the Oregon Bar Exam, an applicant must meet certain requirements and be an attorney from one of the following states: AL, AK, AZ, AR, CO, CT, DC, GA, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, MA, MI, MN, MS, MO, NE, NH, NY, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WV, WI, or WY. See Rule 15.05. Attorneys employed by business entities authorized to do business in Oregon, who have been admitted in another federal jurisdiction, may be admitted to practice law, as set out in Rule 16.05.
